ITA announces 2020 D-II Women’s Tennis Regional Awards

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday announced the 2020 Division II Women ITA Regional Awards. The Division II Awards include: Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship, ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Player to Watch, ITA Most Improved Senior, ITA Senior Player of the Year, and ITA Community Service Award.

The national winners of the awards will be announced Tuesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. CDT during a virtual awards ceremony.

SOUTH REGION

  • Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship: Marta Vicens Miquel, Saint Leo University
  • ITA Rookie of the Year: Rebecca Keijzerwaard, Palm Beach Atlantic University
  • ITA Player to Watch: Ekaterina Grib, University of Tampa
  • ITA Most Improved Senior: Kristyna Jurkova, Saint Leo University
  • ITA Senior Player of the Year: Ulyana Grib, Lynn University
  • ITA Community Service Award: Palm Beach Atlantic University
  • ITA Community Service Award Honorable Mention: Saint Leo University, Florida Southern College, Auburn University at Montgomery

SOUTHEAST REGION

  • Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship: Ana Rodriguez, Young Harris College
  • ITA Rookie of the Year: Kayla Vaughan, Belmont Abbey College
  • ITA Player to Watch: Camilla Ciaccia, Wingate University
  • ITA Most Improved Senior: Julia Lopez, Tusculum University
  • ITA Senior Player of the Year: Beatriz Lopez, Columbus State University
  • ITA Community Service Award: University of North Georgia
  • ITA Community Service Award Honorable Mention: Young Harris College
