KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Southeastern University Fire women’s basketball team rose two spots in the latest NAIA Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll to No. 2. The Fire also received one first-place vote in the poll.

The Fire currently sit at 16-1 on the season, including 6-0 in Sun Conference play, and are on a 12-game win streak. SEU opened 2022 with a 74-55 win over St. Thomas at home this past Saturday.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, Independents and Unaffiliated Groups.

The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list.

The Fire continue SUN play this Saturday inside The Furnace versus the Keiser University Seahawks. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
